The highly anticipated Melbourne Motor Show 2025 will hold its media preview at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) tonight, Friday 4th April, at 6pm before the show is officially opened at 9:30am tomorrow by Minister for Creative Industries, the Hon. Colin Brooks MP.
The show will truly have something for everyone, with 25 new vehicle launches and entertainment including HOT WHEELS and LEGO by Bricks of the World for the kids, as well as a Lego GT4 Remote Control racetrack, kid activation zone, and Lego build stations.
Along with the Tesla Cybertruck and Tesla Model Y, show goers will also be the first to see the highly awarded, new electric concept car JAC DE-FINE, the new, seven-seater MG QS will make its global debut, and the Zeekr 7X and Zeekr MIX with industry-first double sliding doors on the vehicle and a 1.48-meter-wide entrance.
Super cars will include the Porche 918 and Laferrari, plus the Red Bull F1 car. Other new cars launching at the show include BYD SEALION 7, JAC 2 cars & JAC DE-FINE, BRABUS, MG 5 cars, Subaru, Leapmotor, Foton, Deepal, KIA, and Mahindra.
Event organiser Craig Phinn who owns and runs one of Melbourne's largest garage storages for prestige vehicles said, "Melbourne lost an institution when the last motor show wrapped in 2009, and its return has motor enthusiasts revved up - pun intended!" Craig came to Australia from the U.K in 1982 and opened his car storage facilities eight years ago. He now has over 300 cars stored, with some of the rarest in the world including a 1928 Mercedes Roadster.
The event hours are 9:30 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Sunday and other displays at the show include VIC Emergency Electric Fire Truck & ADF military vehicles, car test drives and hands-on experiences, Motorsport & Performance demonstrations, Off-road and Adventure Builds & campaign rigs, plus much more.
