10 am AEST, 5th May 2025 - Global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), GEA Live, and Karl Sydow invite you to experience Dirty Dancing in Concert. The timeless love story of Baby and Johnny will be brought back to life on a full-size cinema screen with a band and singers live on stage. With a soundtrack that defined a generation, Dirty Dancing in Concert promises to bring a sensational experience to the '80s classic. 

Dirty Dancing in Concert will tour across Australia, visiting cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. Audiences will be given a new way to immerse themselves in the world of Dirty Dancing while celebrating the classic film they know and love. A complete screening of the digitally remastered film will play as a band and singers perform the songs live, in sync with the film. Stay for the encore party and continue to have the time of your life singing and dancing along to your favorite songs from the feature film.

Dirty Dancing, directed by Emile Ardolino, written by Eleanor Bergstein, produced by Linda Gottlieb, and starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, alongside Jerry Orbach, Cynthia Rhodes, and Kelly Bishop was a worldwide box-office sensation when it was released in 1987. Its soundtrack generated two multi-platinum albums and multiple singles, including the Academy Award®-winning Best Original Song "(I've Had) The Time of My Life". Grossing more than $214 million in box office sales worldwide, Dirty Dancing captured the hearts of audiences everywhere. The film also spawned a television series, multiple competition reality shows, a prequel film, a stage production with sold-out performances around the world, a made-for-television musical adaptation and a Lionsgate sequel film in development. In addition, the studio is developing Dirty Dancing as a stage musical for Broadway. 

Set in the summer of 1963, Baby Houseman (Jennifer Grey) and her family vacation in the beautiful Catskills resort, Kellerman's Mountain House. Intrigued by the staff's dance instructor, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), and the vastly different lifestyles of others, Baby finds herself learning to dance while having the time of her life and falling in love. It becomes a summer she will never forget.

Dirty Dancing in Concert is part of a series of internationally touring live-to-film concerts based on Lionsgate properties, including the highly successful Twilight in Concert. After many sold-out shows in Australia and over 200 performances worldwide, Dirty Dancing in Concert is headed back to Australia again.
