KickAss Delivers New Ultra-X Lithium Battery Series

KickAss Products has released a new colour option for its Ultra-X lithium battery range, with both models now available in Arctic White. Previously offered only in classic black, the new colour provides customers with an alternative aesthetic to match their vehicle, while maintaining the same internal architecture and proprietary technical specifications.
The Ultra-X series comprises two models - a compact and an ultra-slim - each offering 230Ah of useable lithium capacity. Both models have been fully designed, developed, and manufactured in-house, in an R&D facility owned and operated by KickAss Products. This end-to-end control over the manufacturing process distinguishes the Ultra-X batteries from many others in the market, which are often rebranded versions of generic battery models.
A key feature of the Ultra-X series is the proprietary technology in the Battery Management System (BMS), which includes integrated Bluetooth connectivity. This system provides users with direct access to detailed battery data via the KickAss App or the KickAss Remote Display Unit. Available metrics include:
- State of charge
- Voltage
- Real-time current draw
- Battery temperature
- Estimated time to full charge or depletion
- Historical charge/discharge data
Unlike traditional battery monitoring systems that rely on shunts, which typically offer limited and often inaccurate data, the Ultra-X BMS reports directly from the battery itself for enhanced precision.
Another advantage of the proprietary system is its ability to monitor multiple batteries simultaneously. When batteries are connected in parallel or series, the KickAss App and Remote Display Unit provide a consolidated view of the entire battery bank. Users can view the total system capacity, combined state of charge, and total charge/discharge current on a single display - enabling straightforward, real-time management of more complex battery setups.
The underlying technology used in the Ultra-X batteries - including the BMS, app integration, and multi-battery monitoring capability - has been developed by KickAss and is not available in products sold by other manufacturers.
The Ultra-X batteries are built using A-grade LiFePO₄ cells and are designed to meet the demands of off-grid and mobile power applications, including four-wheel drives, caravans, and marine setups. They are IEC 62619 certified, ensuring compliance with international standards for safety and performance in lithium battery systems.
With the addition of the Arctic White option, the series now caters to users seeking both technical performance and a refined visual finish. The Arctic White Ultra-X batteries are available now through authorised retailers, from KickAss Retail Stores, or online from KickAss Products.
