Dr Vincent’s top six New Fin-Year resolutions: If you don’t have your health, money doesn’t matter

Announcement posted by Invigorate PR 26 Jun 2025

As the new financial year begins, leading health and wellbeing expert, food scientist and clinical nutritionist Dr Vincent is urging Australians to set goals that go beyond spreadsheets and savings accounts and start with personal health.

"If you don't have your health, you don't have anything. You can't earn, save or enjoy your money without the energy and clarity to do so. Good health makes wealth possible," Dr Vincent said.

Dr Vincent is a revered clinical nutritionist, food scientist, antioxidant researcher and founder of Renovatio Bioscience, a well-known Australian company that makes skin care, supplements and pantry products from 100 percent Australian apples. The products contain activated phenolics, the world's most potent form of antioxidants capable of being rapidly absorbed by the body. He also translates cutting-edge research into actionable advice for individuals looking to achieve better health through nutrition.

Dr Vincent has outlined his top six New Fin-Year resolutions to boost your health, mindset and bank balance:

1. Eat two apples a day

"One apple keeps the doctor away. The other keeps the dentist away," Dr Vincent said.

"Apples are high in fibre, antioxidants and natural sugars, helping to stabilise blood sugar, improve gut health and reduce medical bills over time. Research clearly shows that apples are a super food. They are portable and when eaten often and on a consistent basis, key health metrics improve and weight reduces."

2. Skip more

A skipping rope goes everywhere with Dr Vincent, along with his toothbrush. He has been known to slip in hotel hallways when it is raining outside to ensure he gets his daily skip in.

"Skipping is one of the best all-in-one cardio workouts. It boosts cardiovascular fitness, coordination and even mental clarity. No gym membership required," he said.

3. Meditate daily

Dr Vincent said regular meditation sharpens focus, improves sleep, reduces stress and supports long-term brain health.

"You don't need an app or a course. Just a quiet space and a few minutes a day," Dr Vincent said.

"Meditation calms the mind, helps us to focus and assists us to prioritise and better manage life. Ut helps us to understand what is truly important. When our brain is buzzing with things, our thinking is scattered.

"Meditation helps us to see things with greater clarity and identify what is important. It is hard to be fiscally responsible when your head is all over the place."

4. Say 'Tharry' more often

Dr Vincent's favourite word is a hybrid of thank you and sorry - tharry.

"Say thank you more. Say sorry more, and mean it. It fixes relationships, restores trust and brings clarity in personal and professional life," Dr Vincent said.

5. Delightfully dine

"Plan your meals, buy ingredients on special and cook at home," Dr Vincent said.

"You can reduce your grocery bills by up to 30 percent just by shopping smarter. Cut down on Uber Eats and create memorable, candle-lit dinners with the people you love. Better for your health, your wallet and your relationships."

6. Review and spew

Dr Vincent recommends an annual 'life audit' of all expenses.

"Go through your bills, bank statements and subscriptions. Cancel what you don't need. Ask: do I need six streaming platforms? Probably not. Cutting back is cleansing, for your finances and your mental health."

As Australians look for ways to reset for the year ahead, Dr Vincent reminds us that financial wellness starts with physical wellness.

"Feeling better leads to living better and that ultimately, leads to spending smarter. Make this financial year the one where your health becomes your greatest investment," Dr Vincent said.
