Yamanto Central shopping centre has launched a dynamic new community share space located on the main shopping level of the centre - a first for the region and an exciting opportunity for local creatives, business and retail brands to connect with a high-traffic audience in a vibrant, welcoming environment.
 

Owned and operated by JMK Retail, Yamanto Central shopping centre's newly launched space spans 66 square metres and is located on the main shopping level, ground floor, near Breastscreen Queensland. Designed as a multi-use venue, it offers a flexible setting for everything from short-term retail pop ups, office services and brand activations to community-led events, exhibitions and workshops.
 

Yamanto Central's unique share space is a purpose-built, multi-functioning room incorporating gallery-quality hanging rails for art exhibitions and product launches, as well as a relaxed, private environment ideal for business meetings, office activities, creative workshops or community events. The first major event to be showcased in the space is 'Growing Together' - a powerful new solo exhibition by celebrated local artist Jacob Sarra, running from 11 - 20 July 2025, open daily from 10 am - 4 pm.
 

Sarra's latest collection explores the enduring bond between a father and his two daughters, capturing love, connection and shared journeys through evocative and deeply personal artworks.
 

Jacob Sarra is a proud Goreng Goreng man, born and raised on Yuggera land. His artistic expression is heavily influenced by his connection to land and sky, with family playing a central role in his creative inspiration.

"I am particularly drawn to bright colours and bold patterns, which are often reflected in my pieces," Mr Sarra said.
 

"I am a firm believer in the power of experimentation and play in the artistic process. I often draw on unconventional sources to inspire my work, which allows me to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of my craft."
 

'Growing Together' will be the first of many exhibitions and events to bring life and creativity into Yamanto Central's share space, with a full calendar of activations to follow throughout the year.
