LEGATO Announces Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003

LEGATO joins Microsoft at the Australian Launch
LEGATO Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGTO), announced support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The combination of LEGATO solutions and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 provides a scalable and dependable IT infrastructure, that allows customers to focus on their core business with the assurance that their business-critical information is available, accessible and protected from a storage and application standpoint.
The new innovative storage features in Windows Server 2003, such as Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS), Virtual Disk Service (VDS) and Multipath IO (MPIO), will extend LEGATOs capabilities to deliver cost-efficient, reliable and scalable storage solutions to its customers, said Michael Leworthy, Windows Server Product Manager at Microsoft Australia. LEGATOs support of Windows Server 2003 demonstrates its commitment to deliver storage solutions that address customer needs in a Windows environment.
LEGATO NetWorker 7, the latest generation of LEGATOs flagship information protection product suite, is fully interoperable with Windows Server 2003. NetWorker 7.1, which the Company expects to release in the third quarter of 2003, will embrace the advanced storage features of Windows Server 2003, including snapshot management.
We are pleased that LEGATO has embraced Windows Server 2003 features within NetWorker 7 and excited that it will continue this with Windows Server 2003 support within its Automated Availability, Content and Messaging applications, Leworthy added.
LEGATO plans to support Windows Server 2003 within its AlphaStor, DiskXtender, RepliStor, Co-StandbyServer AAdvanced, EmailXtender, and ApplicationXtender product suites later this year.
