International bestselling author and emotional wellbeing expert Elizabeth Jane is calling on Australians to stop burying their dreams and start imagining the life they truly want because what we visualise, we begin to materialise.
Jane, who is also a celebrated artist, keynote speaker and the author of Free and First - Unlocking Your Ultimate Life, believes that the simple act of wishing, when followed with belief, clarity and aligned action, is one of the most powerful tools we have to create a better future.
"It's not about waiting for magic, it's about reconnecting to hope, shifting your focus and then choosing to act with purpose," Jane said.
Dreams begin with a decision to believe
According to Jane, too many people dismiss their wishes as childish or unrealistic, when in reality, they are often the deepest expression of our true desires.
"When you allow yourself to wish for something, you're not being naïve, you're being brave. You're choosing to hope when it's easier to settle," she said.
Energy flows where your intention goes
Jane said that the way we think, speak and visualise ourselves has a profound impact on the opportunities we notice and the choices we make.
"Whether you believe it's spiritual, psychological or energetic, there's no denying that people who focus on positive outcomes tend to notice more possibilities, attract better connections and take bolder steps," Jane said.
"Your thoughts are the blueprint, the energy you send out is the invitation."
See it, speak it, step into it
Manifestation, Jane explained, isn't just about wishful thinking, it's about building a life from the inside out.
"Visualise it in your mind. Write it down and speak it with conviction, then take the next aligned step. That's how your dream can gain momentum. It is also essential to trust that what you wished for is on its way and that if not, then something better is in store," Jane added.
"Wishing is the spark, but it's your clarity, self-trust and action that turn dreams into lived experience."
Don't let doubt be louder than desire
Jane urges people not to let self-doubt drown out their vision.
"We talk ourselves out of our dreams far more often than the world ever does," she said.
"Doubt may knock, but it's up to you whether it moves in."
Surrender the 'how' and 'when" of your wish coming true
"Being fixated on how or when something should happen creates resistance. Worse still is going into the story of lack or scarcity, which tends to manifest more lack. So trust your dream is already unfolding in the best way. It's about embodying your desired reality now, not at some future date," Jane said.
Your energy is your signature, protect it
"When you operate from positivity and gratitude, you begin to shift your environment," Jane said.
"People feel it. Opportunities gravitate toward it and the energy you radiate becomes your magnet. Conversely, people, media or physical environments that reinforce scarcity, fear or self-doubt can dilute your clarity and energy and be a big block to manifesting.
Wishing is not passive, it's powerful
Jane said the greatest transformations begin with the decision to want something more and to believe you're worthy of having it.
"Your wish is a whisper from your soul. Don't ignore it," she said.
"When you show up every day with belief, alignment and action and you tell the universe clearly what you want, life has a beautiful way of responding."
Now is the time to imagine more for yourself
"Your best life doesn't begin when everything is perfect," Jane said.
"It begins the moment you stop playing small and start believing that you are capable of more and that you deserve it."
