WA Technology Leaders Head to CeBIT Australia 2009

Announcement posted by CeBit Australia 28 Apr 2009

PERTH, Australia – 28 April 2009: Perth’s internet success story, iiNet, will spearhead an invasion of West Australian technology companies to Sydney next month at CeBIT Australia 2009, the region’s largest business technology trade event.

The nation’s third largest internet service provider (ISP) will head-up a roster of WA-based innovators at Australia’s largest annual technology show and Global Conference series at Sydney’s Darling Harbour from May 12-14.

As well as highlighting its broadband, Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) and naked DSL products, iiNet’s exhibition stand at CeBIT Australia will highlight its latest cost-saving technology, SIP Trunking, a business-grade voice solution that lets businesses choose the best balance of concurrently available lines – enabling businesses to avoid paying ongoing fees for unused lines. For further information see www.iinet.net.au

iiNet Managing Director, Mr Michael Malone, will also be a star attraction at Access, CeBIT Australia’s headline telecommunications Global Conference, which will investigate major policy issues and technology trends that will set the communications landscape for years ahead.

In the wake of the Federal Government’s recent $43 billion National Broadband Network (NBN) announcement, Mr Malone will address what the NBN will mean for Australian businesses and consumers. The keynote is expected to be a closely-followed presentation to set the agenda on CeBIT Australia 2009’s opening day.
