The Smart State’s Technology Leaders at CeBIT Australia 2009

BRISBANE, Australia – 28 April 2009: Queensland’s Minister for Public Works, Housing and Information and Communication Technology Robert Schwarten will an outstanding roster of innovative Queensland companies heading to Sydney for CeBIT Australia 2009, the region’s largest business technology event.

Mr Schwarten is a long-time supporter of CeBIT Australia who has previously led delegations both to the event in Sydney, as well as its sister event in Hannover, Germany, famous as the world’s largest annual trade fair of any industry.

He will once again make the trek to Sydney to promote and support the presence of Queensland’s technology companies at CeBIT Australia 2009 at Darling Harbour from May 12-14.

The Minister is also a keynote speaker at CeBIT Australia’s e-Government Forum, Australia’s peak gathering of government technology experts, which is organised on behalf of the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO).


Mr Schwarten will speak following a post-budget day address by Federal Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner at the conference’s opening on Wednesday May 13. After his presentation, will visit and help promote the strong line-up of Smart State companies exhibiting at the show including:
