[PRESS RELEASE] 3 days until the Royal Canberra Show - and here are 3 roving entertainment troupes ready to surprise you
Announcement posted by Writers Who 30 Jan 2026

In just 3 days, the 2026 Royal Canberra Show opens at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) with colour, comedy and unexpected moments around every corner.
Running 20-22 February, three spectacular roving entertainment troupes from Crack Up Entertainment will brighten your day with playful education, photo moments and crowd interaction across the showgrounds. Keep your eyes open and your camera ready.
Meet the roving stars:
- The Poodle Ladies - glamorous parades, cheeky banter and fun grooming trivia. These fabulous performers bring style, sass and laughter wherever they strut.
- The Ice Cream Ladies - retro charm, singalongs and irresistible photo ops. Nostalgia never tasted so sweet.
- Beez Knees - slapstick antics with buzzy pollination facts and high energy. Educational entertainment that stings in all the right ways.
Catch these lively performers as they roam, engage families, and deliver surprise 10-minute "Get Up and Dance" arena fillers after dark.
Don't miss the fun.
Following a record crowd of 56,000 last year, Royal Canberra Show CEO Adelina La Vita said the roving entertainment adds an element of surprise that makes every visit unique.
"You never know when you'll turn a corner and run into The Poodle Ladies or start dancing with The Ice Cream Ladies," Ms La Vita said. "That's what makes the Royal Canberra Show so special - it's not just about what's scheduled in the arena, it's about those unexpected moments of joy that pop up throughout the day. These three troupes will create memories for families all weekend long."
As its centenary approaches in 2027, the Royal Canberra Show has never looked stronger.
Canberra's biggest all-ages event, the Royal Canberra Show is staged annually by the Royal National Capital Agricultural Society and blends agriculture, entertainment and education in one weekend.
