Will and Wind and the Australian Marine Conservation Society launch new dolphin beach towel supporting ocean protection

Announcement posted by Staircase Marketing 10 Feb 2026

Australian towel brand Will and Wind has partnered with the Australian Marine Conservation Society to release a new Bottlenose Dolphin Mother and Calf Travel Towel and Multi Towel that blends art, utility, sustainability and conservation. The design features a striking photograph by award-winning underwater photographer Brooke Pyke and reflects the growing shift toward products with purpose.

The image was captured during a free dive at Ningaloo when a mother dolphin and her young calf approached Brooke with gentle curiosity. She did not expect the encounter and said it remains one of her most meaningful moments in the ocean. The photograph shows the bond between the two animals and the peaceful way they moved through the water.

For Will and Wind owner Anna Delaney, the partnership is a natural extension of the brand's values. Anna said the coastline has always shaped the identity of the company and that the brand carries a responsibility to protect the environments that inspire its work. She said the new design feels special because it connects people with real wildlife and supports the conservation of the species that make Australia unique.

The Australian Marine Conservation Society is celebrating sixty years of ocean protection. The organisation focuses on safeguarding threatened species, including dolphins, turtles, dugongs and whales. Their work also defends habitats such as the Great Barrier Reef and Ningaloo and campaigns against pollution and destructive fishing practices. They advocate for strong marine park protections and climate action to ensure healthy oceans for future generations.

AMCS Communications Director Imogen Scott said support from purpose-led Australian brands plays an important role in supporting ocean conservation.. She said the collaboration with Will and Wind helps connect Australians' love of the ocean with the need to protect it for generations to come..

Each towel in the collection contributes to this work. Ten percent of proceeds are donated directly to AMCS, helping fund wildlife protection, habitat restoration and campaigns that improve environmental legislation.

The towels themselves are designed with sustainability in mind. Each Travel Towel is made from 16 recycled plastic bottles and each Multi Towel uses 11 recycled bottles. The microfibre fabric dries quickly, resists sand and lasts significantly longer than cotton, which helps reduce textile waste. The material also uses less water and energy in the washing and drying process, which supports mindful, long-term use.

The new collection reflects a shift in the way Australian consumers consider purchases. Products that last, support local conservation and celebrate the natural world are becoming more valued and the Bottlenose Dolphin towels aim to meet that feeling of connection.

The Travel Towel measures 160cm x 80cm and the Multi Towel is designed for everyday versatility, including beach days, gym sessions, camping trips and swimming. Both are made for people who want comfort and practicality along with a sense of purpose in what they buy.

The Bottlenose Dolphin Mother and Calf collection is now available at willandwind.com.au, with 10% of proceeds supporting the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

About the Australian Marine Conservation Society

The Australian Marine Conservation Society is Australia's leading ocean conservation organisation and one of the founding members of Australia's conservation movement.

AMCS works on the big issues that risk our ocean wildlife. AMCS has led campaigns to protect critical ocean ecosystems with marine reserves around the nation, including Ningaloo and the Great Barrier Reef.

AMCS also led the movement to ban whaling, stopped supertrawlers, and protected threatened and endangered species like the Australian sea lion. AMCS is an independent charity, staffed by a committed group of scientists, educators and passionate advocates who have defended Australia's oceans since 1965. Together, this community of ocean lovers across the nation works everyday to protect our precious marine wildlife and ocean.
