FOR SPECIAL MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND CONCERT

Beloved tenor to perform intimate Parramatta concert before embarking on his national Amoré tour with the Australian Symphony Orchestra

Australia's favourite tenor Mark Vincent will perform a special concert at Riverside Theatres, Parramatta on Friday 8 May, presenting You Raise Me Up - an intimate afternoon of music inspired by the powerful performance that moved audiences at last year's Carols in the Domain.

Accompanied by his musical director and pianist Shannon Brown and a string quartet, the concert will feature Vincent's moving rendition of the Josh Groban classic, alongside a hand-picked selection of pop favourites, classical highlights and crossover repertoire - all presented as an early Mother's Day celebration.

The concert takes its title from Vincent's deeply moving performance of "You Raise Me Up" at last year's Carols in the Domain, which he dedicated to the victims of the Bondi tragedy. The moment resonated widely with audiences and has since been viewed more than half a million times online.

"When I sang You Raise Me Up at Carols in the Domain last year and dedicated it to the Bondi victims, it was one of the most emotional moments I've ever experienced on stage," Vincent said. "Seeing how people connected with that performance reminded me how powerful music can be when people need comfort and hope."

At Riverside, audiences will hear Vincent perform his powerful interpretation of the Josh Groban classic live, alongside a personal selection of pop favourites, classical highlights and crossover repertoire.

Designed as an early Mother's Day celebration, You Raise Me Up invites audiences to share an afternoon of music that reflects Vincent's warmth, gratitude and connection to family - themes that have long shaped his music.

"This concert is really about gratitude," Vincent said. "Mother's Day is a chance to celebrate the people who support us, encourage us and believe in us - the ones who quite literally raise us up. I wanted to create an afternoon of music that families could share together."

Following the Parramatta concert, Vincent will embark on a national tour with his new show Amoré, performing songs of love across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, accompanied by the Australian Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Shannon Brown.

Fresh from his acclaimed role as Old Deuteronomy in the 40th Anniversary Australian tour of CATS, Vincent continues to expand his repertoire while remaining one of Australia's most recognisable and beloved classical crossover voices.
