Announcement posted by Scandi Group 14 Apr 2026
A newly completed 9.8-star energy-efficient Nordica home in Wingham will be presented this week as part of an industry briefing, highlighting a practical approach to addressing housing shortages on the Mid North Coast.
Delivered by Sorensen Caldon Ferris Builders in collaboration with Scandi Group, the project demonstrates how high-quality secondary dwellings can increase housing supply, reduce living costs, and be delivered significantly faster than traditional builds.
With rental shortages continuing across regional NSW, the approach focuses on better use of existing residential land — enabling homeowners to downsize or generate income, while creating stable, long-term rental accommodation within established communities.
The event will bring together local industry professionals, project partners, and government representatives to discuss housing affordability, regional supply, and opportunities to streamline delivery.
The home will also be open to the public on Saturday, 18 April as part of a Mid Coast Tour of Open Homes, offering visitors the chance to experience two recently completed projects in Wingham and Taree.
Media opportunities include:
- Walk-through of a completed 9.8-star home
