Quiet Tuesday Nights Get a Boost as “Get Lubricated” Kicks Off at Lulie Tavern

Melbourne, VIC — In a time when many bars and pubs are feeling the pinch of quieter trade, Tuesday night at Lulie Tavern proved there's still appetite for a good night out, especially when someone else is picking up the tab.

Wild Secrets has launched a new initiative for use Australia wide, Get Lubricated, designed to help get the night started for local venues doing it tough. The concept is simple: each month, the brand selects a nominated venue and loads a $1000 bar tab behind the bar, no catch, just a callout of "Tonight, you're on us."

Lulie Tavern was the first to host, and what's typically a slower Tuesday quickly turned into a lively, buzzing night filled with locals reconnecting over drinks.

Lulie Tavern owner commented: "Midweek trade has definitely been quieter across the industry, so to see the place come alive on a Tuesday was unreal. It wasn't just the drinks — it brought people back through the doors, created energy, and reminded everyone what a great local night can feel like."

Wild Secrets says the idea came from a genuine concern for their own neighbourhood venues.

Adam Lea, Wild Secrets Marketing Manager, said: "We spend a lot of time thinking about connection, and not just in the obvious way. Local bars are where people meet, unwind, and feel part of something. Seeing some of our favourite spots quieter than usual didn't sit right with us, so we thought, why not step in and get the night started?"

How it works

Customers can nominate their favourite bar or pub via Wild Secrets social channels. Each month, one venue is selected, and Wild Secrets covers a $1000 bar tab at a set time, creating a spontaneous, feel-good moment for both the venue and its community.
