Propel AIR at Stone & Chalk

Announcement posted by ARMHub 27 May 2026

AI and Robotics: commercialisation and scaling

ARM Hub and Stone & Chalk are hosting a free lunchtime event in Sydney on 4 June: an open discussion on the state of applied robotics and AI, with a focus on commercialisation and what it takes to get ventures off the ground.

Two of Australia's most credible voices in applied robotics will join a fireside conversation on embodied AI, commercialisation, and what it actually takes to get robotics ventures off the ground.

Speakers:

  • Dominic Lindsay, Founder, Nexobot: winner of Australia's first Propel-AIR sprint and 2025 MassRobotics resident in Boston. Dominic spent time at the world's largest independent robotics hub and has since deployed his low-cost parcel sorting system with two clients in Victoria.
  • Dr Troy Cordie, Director of Industry Research, ARM Hub: working at the intersection of applied research and industry deployment every day.

Facilitated by Stela Solar, CEO, Stone & Chalk and former inaugural Director of Australia's National AI Centre.

The conversation will cover what's changed as AI gets embedded into physical systems, what the global robotics ecosystem expects from Australian founders, and where the real gaps are.

Attendees can also ask questions about entering the Propel-AIR accelerator for a chance to travel to Boston for a one-month residency with the team at MassRobotics.

When: 12.30pm to 2pm, Thursday 4 June 2026 Where: Stone & Chalk, TCIH, Sydney Light lunch provided. Places are limited.
