Strap in, Newcastle, you're in for a wild night. 

This September, internationally acclaimed live entertainment company Strut & Fret will unleash Loca Vida, a thrilling new cabaret-circus spectacle debuting in Newcastle from 4th September - 4th October back in Civic Park. Loca Vida will also be one of the jewels in the crown of the 2026 New Annual festival program (25 September - 4 October 2026). 

Seductive, chaotic and unapologetically glamorous, Loca Vida invites audiences to pull back the velvet curtain and surrender to the wild energy of the crazy life. Expect big brass, sky-high kicks, exhilarating circus and pulse-racing spectacle from a hand-picked cast of international artists at the top of their game. 

From the creators of the global hits Blanc de Blanc Encore, La Ronde and The Party, this brand-new production delivers Strut & Fret's signature mix of world-class artistry, intoxicating glamour and delightful chaos. 

Set inside the intimate surrounds of the Spiegeltent, Loca Vida fuses jaw-dropping acrobatics, show-stopping choreography and a pulsing soundtrack into one unforgettable late-night experience.

New Annual Festival Director Tory Loudon said Spiegeltent gives audiences the chance to experience live performance outside of the traditional theatre setting.
