[PRESS RELEASE] Bendigo to host Thriving Women 2026 conference as it heads to Victoria for the first time
Announcement posted by Writers Who 11 Jul 2026
Women in agriculture and regional communities from across Australia are set to gather in Bendigo this August for the highly anticipated Thriving Women 2026 Conference - marking the first time the event is held in the state.
Taking place on 10-11th August 2026, the conference will bring together women from all corners of the agricultural sector - whether they're just starting out, highly experienced, working on-farm, or contributing through service industries that support rural communities.
Hosted by WoTL (Women Together Learning), the Thriving Women Conference has built a strong reputation as a space for connection, growth, and practical learning. The 2026 program has been thoughtfully designed to support women at every stage of their journey, combining inspiration with real-world application.
This year's powerful lineup of keynote speakers includes Kemi Nekvapil, Olympia Yarger, and Cathy McGowan; each bringing unique insights, experiences, and perspectives to inspire and empower delegates.
"When I saw this lineup, my first thought was… we need a bigger room. Kemi, Cathy and Olympia bring the kind of depth and warmth you can't manufacture," says Conference Convenor Patrice Douglas.
"Thriving Women is a rare event that meets you where you are - whether you're there for the business side, the inspiration, or two days with women who 'get it'. The conversations in that room are worth it alone," she says.
In addition to keynote sessions, the program will include concurrent "toolbox" workshops, offering deeper exploration of specific topics and skills relevant to agriculture, business, leadership, community development and personal wellbeing. These are designed to provide practical tools and strategies that delegates can take back to their workplaces, farms, and communities, and implement immediately.
A core focus of the conference is connection, where attendees get the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, share experiences, and expand their professional and personal networks.
"Thriving Women is more than a conference - it's a space where women from across the agricultural sector come together to learn, connect, and take time for themselves," says Robyn Williams, Woodvale farmer and Thriving Women 2026 Conference Committee member.
"Bringing the conference to Victoria for the first time is an exciting opportunity to connect with even more women across regional Australia."
