23 June 2009 – Olympus Imaging Corporation has announced the promotion of Marc Radatt from General Manager to Managing Director for Olympus in Australia, charging him with building on the impressive success and growth the company has achieved in 2008/2009.
Marc joined the Company in 2005 and held various Sales Management Positions before becoming General Manager in October 2007. Since then, he has led the team from strength to strength. Since entering the Australian market over five years ago with a two per cent market share, Olympus Imaging Australia now enjoys nineteen per cent value share of the digital compact market*. It holds the number two position in the market and is the dominant player in the Tough category, pioneered by Olympus globally over three years ago, with over a quarter of a million units sales in Australia to date.
Following a strong first quarter in 2009, Radatt looks forward to further developing and fostering Olympus’ solid relationships to build brand strength across its entire digital camera portfolio.
“Over the last four years Olympus Imaging Australia has seen incredible year on year growth. We have a strong product offering locally and we look forward to making some exciting announcements over the coming months,” said Radatt.
