Mark My Words Trademark Services joins Samuel Johnson's Sam's 1000 to help fund precision cancer medicine

Founded in 2012 by Gold Logie winner and 2018 Victorian Australian of the Year Samuel Johnson OAM, Love Your Sister has raised more than $23 million for medical research and passes on 100 per cent of every donation it receives to that research. Sam's 1000 is its call to 1,000 businesses to help fund precision medicine, working alongside OMICO (the Australian Genomic Cancer Medicine Centre) and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

Precision medicine aims to match each patient to the right treatment the first time, whatever the cancer and wherever the patient lives. It is not yet offered as standard care to all Australians, and Sam's 1000 is designed to help change that by bringing the business community together behind the science.

Mark My Words was recognised as an honorary champion following a donation to the charity, and the firm is now encouraging other Australian businesses to consider joining the campaign.

"This is a cause that's close to my heart. I lost my younger brother to brain cancer in early 2020, so I know first-hand how much it means to give patients a better chance," said Jacqui Pryor, Founder and Principal of Mark My Words Trademark Services.
