With a slew of changes marking the biggest overhaul to Australia's property market in 40 years, including SMSF and Capital Gains tax changes, talks of another rate rise and the introduction of new anti-money laundering laws, this year's Buya 2026 event in just two weeks represents two full days for buyer's agent's, brokers and real estate agent's to thoroughly equip themselves and their businesses for the year ahead.
The two-day event from 17-18 August at Linseed House, Alexandria, will be launched and hosted by Tom Panos and features an inspirational lineup of keynote speakers including Chris Gray from Your Empire Buyers Agents, B.Invested's Nathan Birch, Emily Wallace from Wallace Advocates as well as media guru Todd Sampson.
It will also feature Real Estate Agent and Founder of Palise Property Buyers Agency, Steve Palise, who will discuss how he grew a $10 million revenue business in five years whilst working remotely.
Australia's Leading AI Implementation expert Justin Kabbani will guide attendees on the best ways to use this technology to streamline business practices, while high-profile auctioneer and founder of Real Estate Gym, Tom Panos, will officially launch the event.
Day two kicks off with the 'Master and Apprentice', Chris Grey and Jack Henderson, respectively, in a session that will demonstrate the way information is transferred to the next generation of buyer's agents coming through.
"This year, the event is set to deliver real-world frameworks from high-performing operators who are scaling sustainably with practical models that you can implement immediately," a BUYA spokesperson said.
"If you're a buyer's agent, real estate agent or broker, there's never been a more critical time than now to find out what the next twelve months' hold, particularly as we are currently seeing the biggest property market shift in the last forty years."
The August 2026 event will focus on:
- The evolving role of buyer's agents in Australia
- Industry standards, compliance, and professionalism
- Business growth, systems, and scalability
- Market insight and buyer‑side strategy
- The future of buyer advocacy amid regulatory and market change
