FIRST-EVER CRIME SCENE FESTIVAL TO BRING AUSTRALIA'S LEADING TRUE CRIME NAMES TO VICTOR HARBOR THIS WEEKEND

Announcement posted by PRofiler PR 21 Aug 2026

First ever festival starts 2pm today

True crime fans, armchair detectives, and curious minds are being invited to step inside the stories that have captivated Australia for decades when Crime Scene Victor arrives in Victor Harbor from today - Friday 21 until Sunday 23 August.

The inaugural festival is a SA first which will bring together some of Australia's most respected crime journalists, podcasters, investigators, authors and former law enforcement experts for a weekend of exclusive insights, untold stories and fascinating discussions about some of the nation's most infamous criminal cases.

Founded by investigative journalist and Sleepers podcast host Bryan Littlely, Crime Scene Victor promises unprecedented access to the people who have spent years uncovering the facts behind some of Australia's most enduring mysteries.

From cold cases and missing persons investigations to major criminal trials and forensic breakthroughs, attendees will hear directly from the journalists, investigators and storytellers who have dedicated their careers to seeking answers.

Festival founder Bryan Littlely said Crime Scene Victor was designed to bring audiences closer to the stories and people behind the headlines.

"Australians have an enormous fascination with true crime because these stories are real. They happened to real people and they continue to have an impact on families and communities today," Mr Littlely said.

"This festival gives people the opportunity to hear directly from some of the country's leading crime journalists, podcasters and investigators and learn more about the cases that have shaped South Australia and Australia."

Among the headline speakers are acclaimed investigative journalist Debi Marshall, renowned crime reporter Adam Shand, The Lady Vanishes creator Sally Leydon, broadcaster Amanda Schultz, journalist Meni Caroutas and a host of respected crime writers, former detectives and subject matter experts.

The festival will explore some of South Australia's most talked-about and enduring criminal cases, including discussions around the Beaumont Children disappearance, the Adelaide Oval abduction of Joanne Ratcliffe and Kirste Gordon, the Family Murders, Snowtown and other cases that continue to generate public interest and investigation decades later.

Attendees can also expect live podcast recordings, expert panel discussions, book signings, forensic insights and behind-the-scenes stories from those who have spent years investigating crime and pursuing justice.

Importantly, the festival includes a range of free and low-cost events, making it accessible for both dedicated true crime followers and those simply curious to learn more.

Free events include K9 Stories from the Front Line, featuring former police dog handler Dave Raymond, along with community discussions exploring some of Australia's most compelling crime stories.

Ticketed sessions provide rare opportunities to hear directly from headline speakers, participate in intimate discussions and gain insights not available through traditional media coverage.

With thousands of Australians consuming true crime podcasts, documentaries and books every day, Crime Scene Victor arrives at a time when public interest in crime storytelling has never been stronger.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Victor Harbor, the festival offers a unique opportunity to engage with some of Australia's leading crime storytellers while uncovering the facts, investigations and human stories behind the nation's most significant criminal cases.

Whether you're a lifelong true crime enthusiast, an armchair detective or simply fascinated by the pursuit of truth, Crime Scene Victor promises a weekend unlike any other.
