Announcement posted by Thurnham Teece 29 Sep 2026

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: 29 September 2026 - Fresh from a 75-city tour across the United States and Europe, Spiritworks & Technomancers will present the Australian premiere of Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne, on 10 April 2027, with performances at 3 pm and 7.30 pm.

Bringing together music and specially curated scenes from all eight seasons of the global phenomenon Outlander, the live concert experience features cinematic visuals presented on a large HD screen alongside the acclaimed Celtic score of Emmy Award-winning composer Bear McCreary.

A live ensemble of musicians and vocalists will perform McCreary's music using traditional Scottish instruments including bagpipes, fiddles and hurdy-gurdy, creating an immersive journey through the world of Claire and Jamie Fraser.

Executive producer and Outlander showrunner Matthew B. Roberts collaborated with McCreary to create the concert experience, selecting music and scenes from across the series, including footage from its highly anticipated eighth and final season.

The music of Outlander has become a phenomenon in its own right. Across seven soundtracks, the franchise has generated more than 500 million streams in 236 territories, while its iconic theme, Outlander - The Skye Boat Song, has surpassed 49 million plays. The Outlander soundtrack is the best-selling title in Sony Pictures Television's catalogue.

McCreary, whose credits also include The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, God of War, Battlestar Galactica, Foundation and The Walking Dead, has won three Emmy Awards and two BAFTA Awards and received two Grammy nominations.

The television series is based on Diana Gabaldon's internationally best-selling novels, which have sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide, with all nine novels appearing on the New York Times best-seller list.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Outlander stars Caitríona Balfe as Claire Fraser and Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, alongside Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, John Bell, David Berry, Charles Vandervaart, Izzy Meikle-Small and Joey Phillips.

The global success of Outlander has also spawned the prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which premiered in 2025 and is set to return for a second season.
