New Clustering Solution Delivers Application Monitoring and Switchover for Microsoft Environment
Legato Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGTO), a worldwide leader in enterprise storage management software, today announced the availability of Co-StandbyServer(tm) 2000 (Co-SBS 2000) for Windows 2000, a high availability solution that delivers application monitoring and switchover.

In addition to continuing to provide 24X7 availability of mission critical data and application, Co-SBS 2000 for Windows 2000 has a newly enhanced mirroring engine, powerful new GUI for ease of use and intuitive application modules for proactive management of application services. The modules include Microsoft SQL 7.0 and 2000, Exchange 5.5 and IIS 5.0, supported as a network service.
Co-SBS's block level mirroring technology and the use of a dedicated mirroring link allows data to be written to two servers simultaneously. Unlike other solutions, such as file-level replication, this is done without adding additional traffic to the user's production network.
