Uniden introduces Australia’s longest range cordless phone system

For homeowners seeking the ultimate solution to phone reception around the home, Uniden has developed the XDECT R Series – Australia’s first genuine long range and maximum coverage repeater cordless phones.

Offering unprecedented and unrivalled talking range, the ground-breaking XDECT R Series is particularly suitable for larger properties, multi-level homes and farms where distance between phones has previously impacted call clarity.

Utilising in-built repeater stations that communicate with the main phone base, the XDECT R Series can be configured to offer up to eight times further range than ever previously achievable*. Each time additional handsets are added to the system they act as transmission points so that the signal can be re-transmitted even further distances.

Further ensuring superior performance in the most challenging conditions, phones in the XDECT R Series harness a Diversity and High Gain Antenna System. Developed following extensive research, this technology effectively eliminates drop out areas around the home. Instead of transmitting just one signal, the Antenna System sends out multiple signals and bounces them off the strongest wireless paths to provide maximum coverage.

The XDECT R Series’ extensive feature set also makes it a great choice for small businesses, factories and other commercial uses. With second line capability,the XDECT R Series is ideal for people working from home who may use one phone line for home use and another for business use or VoIP applications. Business users will benefit from Intercom/Announce Call Transfer functionality and the Handset Conferencing facility which enables up to seven callers to communicate together.

Importantly, XDECT R Series phones operate on the wireless network friendly 1.8GHz frequency, meaning they won’t interfere with other electronic devices in the vicinity. Other key features include an Integrated Digital Answering Machinewith Remote Access as well as Do Not Disturb and Call Block functions to provide greater control over incoming calls.

For easier caller identification, the XDECT R Series enables the allocation of up to eight polyphonic ringtones to favourite friends and family, while all incoming phone numbers are vividly displayed on bright backlit blue LCD screens.

* Repeater stations are built into the charging base of each additional handset. When three charging bases are positioned in a straight line away from the main phone base, the result is four times more talking range. Adding another three charging bases in the opposite direction extends the reach even further. So, in total, up to eight times the talking range can be achieved.
