Alice Springs Information Night - Learn how to become a builder

Master Builders will tonight hold an information briefing on how to become a builder or licensed contractor in Alice Springs.

“There has never been a better time to become a builder in the Northern Territory,” said Paul Lawrence, Training Manager, Master Builders NSW.

“There is currently great opportunity in the building industry due to low interest rates, housing grants and the stimulus package.

Mr Lawrence said that the event will detail:

  • The job opportunities currently available in the building industry

  • How to obtain a builders license

  • How to become a licensed sub-contractor

  • What qualifications and experience are required to obtain a license

Guest Speakers will include:

  • Chris Anderson – Certificate III Coordinator

  • Paul Lawrence – Training Manager, Master Builders

Certificate III Coordinator Chris Anderson is a former rugby league player and coach. Achieving success as a Kangaroos and New South Wales Blues representative winger, Mr Anderson later became a coach, taking Australia to World Cup victory. He coached both the Canterbury Bulldogs and Melbourne Storm to premiership wins.

Mr Anderson now works with Master Builders to encourage those entering the industry to obtain the right qualifications.

Those interested in attending the information night should contact Master Builders on (08) 8922 9666.
