Announcement posted by Cincom Systems of Australia Pty. Ltd. 21 Jan 2010

Partnership focuses on manufacturing solutions + Lean Solutions for Maritime sector on show at Pacific 2010, 27-29 January

Sydney, Australia January 21, 2010 Worldwide software provider, Cincom Systems (http://www.cincom.com), has signed a partnership agreement with Ultriva (http://www.ultriva.com), a California-based software company specialising in Lean and Kanban solutions. As part of the agreement, Cincom will offer to existing and new customers Lean manufacturing solutions that complement its Cincom CONTROL™ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (http://www.cincomerp.com) and Cincom Acquire™ Sales and Product Configurator software (http://www.cincomacquire.com).

This partnership provides manufacturers with complex engineer- or made-to-order products—a solution that features intelligent, role-based operations management combined with proven Lean execution. “We believe this combination will provide our customers with the operational efficiencies required to meet the unique challenges facing manufacturers today,” says Jerry Miller, Director of Cincom’s Manufacturing Business Solutions Division.

“Ultriva’s Electronic Kanban and other Lean manufacturing solutions have been working synergistically at Cincom customers over the years,” says Narayan Laksham, CEO of Ultriva. “By
formalising this business relationship, we can enhance the value to our customers with a pre-packaged, tightly integrated solution.”

“Cincom’s operations management capabilities and Ultriva’s Lean execution solution are a natural fit and complementary on both the business and technology levels,” says Dick
Pearse, Cincom Enterprise Product Director. “Alliances are successful when the combined value delivered is greater than the sum of the parts. This passes that test with flying colors.”

According to a 2009 research report commissioned by Cincom Systems lean manufacturing is lacking in the aerospace and defense industry with only 23% of A&D manufacturers surveyed having implemented demand-driven manufacturing tactics such as electronic Kanban, lean manufacturing techniques and shared business processes.

Cincom is exhibiting its Enterprise Business Solutions at the Pacific2010, Hall 6 stand 6F8 at Sydney Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbouron 27 – 29 January 2010.

The latest version of Cincom CONTROL™ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) will be available in late 2010.
