TNS APPOINTS FORMER AMEX REGIONAL GM TO HEAD UP TNS’ ASIA PAC PAYMENTS DIVISION

Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 28 January 2010 – Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS), a leading provider of data communications and transaction payment services, has appointed John Banfield as Senior Vice President and General Manager of TNS’ Payments Division in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Banfield will take the senior role in spearheading TNS’ Payments teams and its regional activities in Asia Pacific.

He brings a solid track record and seasoned industry experience in payment card schemes,” said Ray Low, President of TNS’ Global Payments division.  “His strong leadership in client management, merchant acquisitions, and B2B solutions will make him a valuable addition to TNS.”

Mr Banfield has more than 20 years of experience with a list of achievements in Merchant Services, B2B, Risk Management and Strategic Implementation. Before joining TNS, he worked at American Express where he was formerly the Regional Vice President of its International Division, and was instrumental in the company’s developments.
