AMR Research Recognizes CAS in Market Execution and Compliance With Highest Possible Rating

Announcement posted by CAS Systems Asia Pacific 03 Mar 2010

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, KAISERSLAUTERN, GERMANY, and ATLANTA, GA – March 2, 2010 – CAS AG, the leading global provider of Customer Management and Mobility solutions for the Consumer Products industry, has been recognized by AMR Research in the “Picking the Best Horses to Win the Race for Trade Promotion Effectiveness” report. CAS was one of 9 vendors evaluated in the report and received the highest possible rating in “Market Execution and Compliance” capabilities. The report also gives CAS the highest possible evaluation in the area of “Channel-Specific Budgeting and Control.” In both areas, CAS was recognized as having “Demonstrated functionality, with strong references” – the highest possible rating according to the report.

According to AMR Research, “Market Execution and Compliance” capabilities are highly strategic because “the average consumer products (CP) company allocates 14% of revenue to trade spend on trade promotions.” Yet the “dirty secret of trade promotion management is that many programs lack compliance at the shelf.” Not surprisingly, the report goes on to state that “With CP companies ratcheting up spending on special events to influence the shopper at the shelf, 30% of historic trade spending was focused over the past five years on promotions that were difficult to execute: floor displays, custom products, and custom packaging. This had an adverse effect on supply chain complexity. As a result there’s an increase in spending for market execution technologies to check stores and evaluate effectiveness at the shelf where it matters most.”

CAS is identified on AMR Research’s vendor “short list” across the three areas of trade optimization, deduction management and market execution and compliance.

“We believe that AMR Research’s evaluation confirms CAS’ position in the market as the only provider of integrated Trade Promotion Management, Trade Promotion Optimization and Retail Execution solutions specifically designed to meet the unique challenges of leading Consumer Products companies,” said Stefan Joneck, CEO and Founder of CAS.

CAS recently announced the release of the eighth and latest generation of its software suite, called CAS 8. CAS 8 provides leading Consumer Products companies the global retail execution and advanced trade promotion management and optimization capabilities required to leverage their existing ERP investments to drive better allocation of in-store resources, increase sales due to reduced out of stocks, improve returns on promotional spend and realize better execution of new product introductions.

CAS 8 is the only integrated software suite developed specifically for the Consumer Products industry that can be deployed on all major mobile device platforms - including Smartphone, PDA, tablet and laptop – in both “online” and “offline” environments.
