Simms International Appoints General Manager, Sales

Simms International has announced that Michael Rickers has joined the company as General Manager of Sales. In this newly created position, Rickers will have responsibility for overseeing the expanding sales team in support of Simms’ growing portfolio.

Rickers will manage the total sales function across Simms’ three divisions: Corporate, Retail and Specialist Apple.

Rickers has held senior Sales and General Management roles within the Australian IT channel spanning 23 years. His most recent role was heading up the Northern Region Sales (NSW, QLD & NT) at Hitachi Data Systems. Prior to that he was General Manager of Computercorp Pty Ltd (Synergy Plus), was responsible for the group sales and services P&L, including the national growth organically and via acquisition until the sale of the company and subsequent 2006 listing on the ASX.
