INSTYLE CONTRACT TEXTILES Invited to Launch of EnviroWool

Michael Fitzsimons, Managing Director of INSTYLE will be a guest speaker at the launch of EnviroWool in Launceston on Thursday 29th April.

Fitzsimons is attending to provide support for the launch of EnviroWool, Roberts Limited and the wool growers of Tasmania.

The Sustainable Farms Tasmania (SFT) Scheme, is an environmental accreditation program for Tasmanian wool developed through the EnviroWool Project, by Roberts Wool Link (RWL) and suppliers along the supply chain, which will provide wool premiums for growers adopting best practice natural resource management.

The EnviroWool project was initiated in response to increasing demand for sourcing certified, environmentally-responsible and sustainable products from Tasmanian producers. Wool from accredited Tasmanian properties will next year be sold directly to International and Australian customers via The Merino Company (TMC) and RWL as EnviroWool.

Instyle Contract Textiles is the innovative textile manufacturer and major customer of wool from the RWL pool.

Fitzsimons will launch the (SFT) scheme and award certificates to the pilot producers as well as discuss the importance of the environmental accreditation from a customers’ perspective.

Instyle has been a leader in the development of supply chain relationships and has direct relationships with several Tasmanian farmers who are currently supplying Instyle’s award winning LIFE Textiles collection. Instyle sources EthEco (Ethical+Ecological) wool, from farms that have ceased mulesing and practice holistic farming providing further environmental benefits as well as the ethical consideration.
