11 May 2010 – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will showcase its groundbreaking smartphone and online applications at this month’s CeBIT Australia, the region’s major Information and Communications Technology (ICT) exhibition.

The annual three-day event opens 24 May and continues through 26 May at Sydney's Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. The show brings together local and international ICT manufacturers, service providers, distributors, retailers and buyers to meet and do business. CeBIT is also a forum for spotlighting technology-based business solutions.

CeBIT Australia covers 28 individual technology exhibitions, covering everything from communications and business processes to cloud, data centre and hosting, and clean technology. The event targets business to business (B2B) visitors.

The HKTDC’s CeBIT exhibit will feature the new HKTDC Mobile iPhone application, the first such application offered in the B2B online marketplace. Also on display will be a hktdc.com “Lite Demo”, allowing visitors to try out the HKTDC’s online marketplace. Demonstrations will be on show twice a day at 11.00am and 3.30pm at the HKTDC Booth G-11 in the ‘Digital Marketing’ Area.

HKTDC.com connects more than 120,000 suppliers verified by major authentication companies. The online marketplace attracts nearly one million buyers from all over the world to source products and services provided by suppliers on the Chinese mainland, in Hong Kong and elsewhere in Asia.
