SYDNEY, Australia– 19 May, 2010: With the inaugural eHealth conference set to be a big hit at the CeBIT 2010 event, the show floor is abuzz with exhibitions featuring exciting new eHealth technologies, following Federal Government announcements in the 2010 Budget that the eHealth sector will receive $466.7 million over the next two years to establish electronic health records for all Australians.

Health technologies are opening up possibilities of e-sharing and are revolutionising the way our health and records are managed, through collaboration across industry, government and the broader community. CeBIT’s eHealth Conference will bring together health industry and government professionals to discuss the most efficient ways in which global and national health can be better managed through ICT technologies. Tying in with these conference themes, several of our show floor exhibitionists are also focusing on the eHealth revolution.

Exciting new eHealth exhibitions on the show floor at CeBIT 2010 include:

•    Tunstall: Tunstall Healthcare has launched the RFID garment identification solution for residential care facilities in Australia, the RFID garment identification is a small button that is discretely attached to the resident's garments to ensure clothing is properly distributed after laundering, RFID buttons can be programmed up to 200 characters allowing a residents name and other important information such as allergies etc to be discretely included. Stand 7, eHealth.
•    VoIP: Demonstrates Healthcare ICT infrastructure integrated solutions resulting optimizing costs, operating efficiencies and enhancing patient care. VoIP's integrated approach connects people-to-people, people-to-devices and devices-to-devices which enable real-time collaboration and is independent to location. This interaction improves access on up-to-date medical records and allows healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible patient care whether in Hospitals or Healthcare Centres. Stand 6, eHealth.
•    CSIRO: CSIRO: The CSIRO stand, staffed by experts in science, engineering and commercialisation, will feature displays of augmented reality visualisation to enable remote delivery of complicated expert services in healthcare, self-learning computer vision that identifies expressions and analyses behaviour to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions and automated dose calculation to allow better targeting of radiotherapy and improve treatment of prostate cancer. It is one of the first supercomputers to combine central processing units (CPUs) with graphics processing units (GPUs) and run applications up to 100 times faster. Stand J11.
•    Bosch: Bosch plans to bring eHealth solutions to Australia Remote patient monitoring via Bosch 'Telehealth Plus'. The 'Telehealth Plus' system enables clinicians and healthcare professionals to stay connected with patients between clinical visits, strengthening healthcare professional/patient relationships and improving clinical outcomes whilst reducing the total cost of care. Stand 19, eHealth.
•    Emerging Health Solutions: has been operating as a multi-functional ward based clinical system to support clinical service delivery at St Vincent’s Private Hospital since October 1992. A team of clinicians designed the application and the built-in toolset. During a period of over a decade Emerging Health Solutions has matured and grown in scope and functionality. Clinicians have been, and continue to be, the primary contributors in the development of the application. The Mater Misericordiae Hospital is now in the early stages of a Emerging Health Solutions implementation. With the years of experience with Emerging Health Solutions at Sydney’s St Vincent’s Private Hospital in mind, the Mater is looking to enjoy the same benefits that St Vincent’s enjoys through their use of Emerging Health Solutions. Stand 29, eHealth
