Football (soccer) teams from 32 of Australia’s top companies took to the field at Centennial Park, Sydney last Friday to compete for the 2010 International Chambers of Commerce World Cup

Footballers from the corporate world had their shot at World Cup glory and the replica FIFA World Cup format produced plenty of great football and high drama for everyone over the course of the afternoon. The semi finals brought corporate heavy weights Macquarie Bank (Denmark), KPMG (Portugal), Lifespan Financial Planning (Brazil) and APC (USA) together with the Brazilian team winning the final in true “joga bonito” style.

FDA Director Cormac Begley commented on the great spirit all of the participants shared over the afternoon: “The standard of football was excellent and more importantly even though the games were very competitive there was a great sense of Fair Play and camaraderie amongst all of the players and this contributed to a fantastic occasion.”
