MORE THAN $40,000 IN PRIZES TO BE WON IN 2010 GOLDEN WHISK AWARDS – ENTER NOW!
The annual search to find ‘Australia’s Home Cook of the Year 2010’ in the Australian Good Taste Golden Whisk Awards is now on. Entry is open to all passionate, amateur home cooks with judges looking for great-value weeknight recipes that are tasty and easy to make.
So, if you have a secret recipe that always works, saves you time or money, makes mealtimes easier or, gets your family to eat fresher and healthier foods, Australian Good Taste wants to hear from you.
The theme of this year’s search is Cook, Eat, Share and there’s more than $40,000 in cash and prizes, including $10,000 in cash, Gift Cards from Woolworths, and premium kitchen equipment from Cuisinart. All finalists will be flown to Sydney for a stay at Sydney’s five-star Frasier suites and to take part in a national cook-off in front of a panel of judges, including celebrity chef, Justin North.
To enter, simply send in a clever weeknight recipe that you think is worth sharing. It might be a meal that makes mealtimes easier. Maybe it’s a recipe that gets you out of a jam when unexpected guests arrive or, it could be a meal with an ingenious twist or trick that helps you satisfy everyone – even fussy eaters!
This year the competition has a new addition with the announcement of the People’s Choice Awards. The magazine has partnered with Channel 10’s morning program, The Circle, which will keep viewers up to date with how the competition is progressing. Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite weekly recipe and have a chance to win a year’s worth of groceries valued at $15,600! All of the recipe entries also go in the running to win a weekly prize of a $200 Woolworths Gift Card. The Gift Cards will be awarded to the 12 most inspiring and clever family meals. The weekly winners will also appear on the Woolworths Fresh Food Mums website and go in the running to be a part of the National Cook-Off.
Votes can be made on www.australiangoodtaste.com.au Plus, the winner of the People’s Choice Awards will also win an additional $500 Woolworths Gift Card.
