Auckland - Softlink Pacific is again a proud sponsor of this Year’s Kids Lit Quiz New Zealand. The heats have taken place across New Zealand and the best literary teams from years 6-8 from around New Zealand have been invited by MP Chris Tremain to Parliament on the 20 June, to compete in “The Sport of Reading”.

Over 230 schools have competed in a series of regional competitions throughout March-June. This final will see the team with the best literary knowledge rewarded with the chance to represent New Zealand in the world final, being held in Scotland during the Edinburgh Book Festival in August this year.

The winning team will also receive $10 000 towards their travel.

Softlink Pacific has been supporting Kids Lit Quiz New Zealand for over 3 years and find it a very rewarding event.

“We are very proud again this year to be a sponsor of Kids Lit Quiz,” said Lyn Walker, Softlink’s New Zealand Business Account Manager.

“At Softlink we feel that this is a very worthwhile event. We see it as a chance to encourage children to get involved with reading and I think they really enjoy it,”

“Not to mention the fantastic prize that is on offer.” Ms Walker said.

The Kids' Lit Quiz is an annual literature competition for children aged 10 to 13. It lets schools and students compete against each other in relation to their knowledge of literacy. The quiz has heats in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, South Africa and China.
