Tough Corp, a leading provider of ruggedized mobility products today announced its new XPad , a sleek, portable, robust Multi Touch tablet that combines high-quality graphics with advanced multi-media communications capabilities to deliver an engaging, interactive experience. Powered by one of Intel’s next generation tablet platforms, codenamed “Pineview,” the XPad features a high-resolution 11.6 inch multi-touch 1366 X 768 Pixel AMOLED display, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3.5G WWAN connectivity incorporating AGPS2, Accelerometer and Digital Compass, 3 MP rear facing camera with flash and 2 MP forward facing camera enables the X-Pad to capturing both high-definition video and still images. The on-board USB interface and MicroSD slot expand the device’s connectivity, while built-in speakers and microphone allow the device to serve as a fully functioning VOIP Device. At just 295 X 195 mm, and only 15 mm thick, the XPad is slim and unobtrusive and weighing only 850 g means the XPad will be easily carried.

For Office users the XPad incorporates a wireless remote desktop utility which allows seamless integration with your desktop PC when the XPad is within WiFi range.
