Cincoms CONTROL ERP system recognised for furthering manufacturing excellence in Australia
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) specialist, Cincom has won one of this years Consensus Manufacturing Awards at the National Manufacturing Week exhibition in Melbourne. One of 10 winners overall, Cincom was selected from around 100 entries to receive the award.

Endorsed by Austrade, and supported by Reed Exhibition Companies and Reed Business Information, the Consensus Manufacturing Awards recognise innovation, performance, potential and Australian content in the local manufacturing industry. Independently judged by professionals drawn from the industry, entrants fall into one of four categories that represent the greatest strength of their entry, in the areas of planning, design, production or delivery.

We are thrilled to have won this award, which is testament to our hard work and high standards of service and results, said Paul Hargreaves, Managing Director of Cincom Australia and New Zealand. Our Control ERP system allows manufacturers to build the right thing at the right time and thus maximise return on investment while minimising inventories.

Control ERP also enables manufacturers to manage a greater volume of change with the best configuration management capabilities in the industry, as well as examine critical business indicators online, and in real time, for high-priority decision-making, he said.

Our latest release is a web-based ERP foundation for e-business that provides manufacturers with the ability to enhance collaboration with suppliers and customers and to begin applying e-business where relevant to their business, he said.

The Consensus Manufacturing Awards are run for the benefit of industry and the wider community, by encouraging excellence, innovation and improved efficiencies in Australian manufacturing. In keeping with the theme of this years National Manufacturing Week, the 2001 awards for the first time recognised Australian design excellence across the whole of Australian industry, with entrants from diverse fields ranging from production and process control through engineering and automation.

Entries consisted of products, processes or projects that delivered an end result which improved or assisted manufacturing in Australia. Winners are afforded the opportunity to utilise the Consensus Certification Trademark logo.
