Breville most trusted brand in two surveys

Announcement posted by Write Away Communication 30 Jun 2010

Breville has been named Australia’s most trusted home appliance brand in a survey just released by Readers’ Digest.

Now in its 10th year, the Readers’ Digest survey is an extensive study into the attitudes of Australians toward the most trustworthy people, brands and professions.

According to Readers’ Digest, the most influential attributes in determining trust are loyalty, perceived quality, positive past experience, longevity of brand and how well a brand is known.

“Trust for brands is increasingly important these days, and consumers are more likely to trust a brand that is transparent and does exactly what it promises. To win this accolade is extremely positive for Breville as a consumer’s trust really must be earned,” says Sue Carney, Editor in Chief for Reader’ Digest.

The Reader’s Digest survey was conducted by an independent research company, The Digital Edge, and it surveyed 750 respondents aged 18 -60+. The respondents were evenly split across male and female consumers.

The survey comes hot on the heels of an independent survey, conducted by Pure Profile, which also showed Breville’s most trusted status as well as recognition of its innovative approach.

Among other findings in the Pure Profile survey, Breville had the highest brand awareness in its category, aided and unaided, by men and women. Breville was also perceived as offering the best value for money among small appliance manufacturers.

As well as having “appliances that are easy and enjoyable to use”, consumers viewed Breville appliances as “allowing them to make better food”.

Commenting on the two surveys, Breville Brand Director Australasia, David Gubbin said: “We are thrilled with the consistency of the findings. Breville is clearly number one in consumers’ minds when it comes to food preparation and cooking with small appliances.

“With a range of innovative new appliances being launched, our position as experts in food is strengthening.”
