Nilfisk celebrates 100 years of the vacuum cleaner

In 1910, cleaning a home became much easier with Nilfisk patenting the first electrical vacuum cleaner ‘C1’. To celebrate its 100 year anniversary, Nilfisk has released the Extreme Free – the latest in its evolution of domestic helpers. In a metallic midnight blue finish, the vacuum continues the brand’s tradition of superior dust and dirt removal matched with a sleek design that’s synonymous with the Extreme range.

Focusing on durability and all-round performance, the powerful Extreme Free vacuum delivers optimum allergen filtration. It boasts a HEPA H14 allergen filter that captures 99.999% of particles including hair, pollen and dust mites, to minimise asthma and allergy triggers circulating in the home.

This feature, combined with the machine’s HEPA tight construction - which ensures that all seals are tight, letting nothing pass by the filter - achieves the highest levels of filtration in a domestic vacuum cleaner. Additionally, an Anti-Bag Bursting System prevents dust bags from splitting in the machine and an active carbon filter removes any bad smells from the dust bag.

With a design that focuses on the functional and the aesthetic, the Extreme Free comes with a uniquely designed combi nozzle and higher suction power resulting in 8% extra dust picked up – better than an average vac's 70% or so performance. In addition to its unique combi nozzle, the Extreme Free vacuum also includes a hard floor nozzle to avoid scratches on wooden floorboards or tiled surfaces.
