‘WA’s leading Switch Room manufacturer increases offering’

design - engineering - install - commissioning

Despite the now well documented “Downturn” Lowrie Constructions (WA) Pty Ltd continues to build its market share. The company has for some time been eyeing the HVAC component of the business with a view to bringing these services In-House.

A project team was established to identify the best way forward to integrate these services in to our mainstream construction activities and how this would benefit our clients. The following three main areas were identified and quickly became the main business drivers behind the project and final decision making process.

Improved operational Control

Cost Reduction(s) to our clients

Change Management capabilities

HVAC is more often than not a significant component within the Rooms in financial terms and more substantially the interface with the main fabric of the building. With the establishment of a HVAC division we are in total control of the process throughout the main construction phase though to site installation and commissioning.

Cost reductions are likely to be achieved by providing these services with fewer layers (Margins). Further savings should be achievable as these services are intergrated in to our normal build process.

With the addition of these services carried out in-house and with common management the change process/response time(s) will improve throughout the life cycle of a project.

As is, already the norm all of our clients will have an option to bring their own contractors in to carry out HVAC work, LC will continue to work with all of our clients if this is their preferred option.
