Softlink Supports Brisbane Catholic School’s “Big Day Out”

Softlink would like to congratulate Dominique Gardiner, the winner at this year’s Softlink Prize at the Brisbane Catholic Education Big Day Out.

Softlink had the great honour this year to offer the Major prize – of a trip for one Teacher Librarian to attend this year’s School Library Association Victoria conference in November.

Brisbane Catholic Education holds a Big Day Out for their Teacher Librarians. The day is organised by Brisbane Catholic education for Brisbane Catholic and Brisbane independent school Teacher Librarians. The day consisted of workshops and talks from various speakers and presenters about the vision for schools networked environments.

Ms Gardiner said about the day “I really enjoyed the Teacher Librarians Big Day out 2010, it was a great mix of speakers and presenters.”

“The Teacher Librarian’s big day out is a great chance to catch up professionally with others and share ideas.”

Ms Gardiner was extremely happy to have been Softlink's major prize winner.

“I was absolutely thrilled to win the prize to attend the SLAV conference in Melbourne, which is on Visual and Critical Literacy’s, Inquiry and Authentic Research, Storytelling and the National Curriculum,”
