Softlink Library Management System - Liberty on Show

Softlink is proud to support the Australian Library and Information Associations, ALIA Access 2010 Conference. This year the conference is being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, on the 1-3 September.

Softlink Sales Staff will be available for the duration of the conference at booth 34 to discuss the latest in Library Management Systems; Softlink’s Liberty.

This Multi-sector conference is a great opportunity for Softlink to illustrate how the flexible Library Management System that is Liberty has proven success over a number of library sectors including health, specials, and TAFE’s.

“I am very excited about exhibiting at ALIA Access 2010; it gives me the opportunity to talk to a number of different library professionals from a range of different sectors.” Mr Jon Jeffrey Business Development Consultant for Softlink said.

Also attending the ALIA Access 2010 will be John Crook, Softlink’s Professional Services Director, who is one of the speakers on the 'Technology Trends Panel.’ The discussion panel is taking place on Friday, 3rd September at 9am-10am. The topic being discussed is: 'Collective Wealth, Global Sharing, Global Resources'

“It is an honour to be part of this discussion panel on the future trends on the global sharing of resources,”

“It is an interesting time we are in at the moment, in relation to libraries and their resource, and how these resources might be shared in the future” Mr Crook said.

The 2010 event will challenge the traditional format of ALIA conferences with a focus on making the conference more ‘accessible’ for delegates. The 3-day multi-sector conference will feature library tours, video streaming, a conference dinner and an associated exhibition with library industry suppliers.

The conference is sold out, but do not despair if you are an ALIA member you can join the conference via web streaming, details on what presentations are being web streamed and how you can join be found by visiting: http://conferences.alia.org.au/access2010/program.html
