Melbourne Chief Executives Inspired by Peers

Announcement posted by The Executive Connection (TEC) Pty Ltd 09 Sep 2010

Business leaders today in Melbourne heard the real-life challenges faced by fellow business leaders and the strategies which led to their success.
All TEC Day in Melbourne, the first of five Australian cities on the 2010 road show, has been lauded by TEC members as the ‘best format ever’. Four Chief Executive member-speakers presented on the real challenges they faced in their diverse businesses; sharing with fellow business leaders how they successfully overcame these challenges.

Chris Kenny, managing director of Markforce International, gave an energising account of the learnings he gained from acquiring the business and taking it international and into the major league.

An amazing story was delivered by Gillian Hurst, managing director of DTH Products, of overcoming tragedy, depression, and adversity to take DTH on a new journey under her leadership. Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane TEC members will hear Gillian’s story as the All TEC Day road show continues.

Mark Parker, managing director of Smart Selling and known in the TEC community for his regular social media and sales updates on The Blog Home, shared with the crowd of Melbourne chief executives how he developed a new product using blue ocean strategy. Mark will again share his strategies with TEC members in Sydney next week.

The audience were inspired by how Todd Coates, BridgeClimb managing director, built a culture that balances the 'hard' and 'soft' sides of business. His story was only exceeded by the view from the top of the bridge. Todd will continue to inspire fellow TEC members as he presents in Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane over the next two weeks.

The event was wrapped up with insight into the winners in the ‘new normal’ by one Australia's sharpest economic forecasters, Jonathan Pain. A presentation not to be missed – Jonathan will be presenting in Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane with the All TEC Day road show.

The All TEC Day attendees are among 14,500 business leaders worldwide who have become members of The Executive Connection (TEC) to enable them to become better leaders, make better decisions and drive better results for their organisations. TEC membership provides access to new ideas and fresh thinking through monthly peer think-tanks, one-to-one business coaching and expert speaker presentations.
