Troon Golf, the world’s leading golf course management company, has announced that David Hogben has been appointed as the Director of Operations for its Australia office.

David has over 20 years experience within the golf industry, with his most recent position within the Troon team as the General Manager for Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club.

During his timein the Australian golf industry David has compiled animpressiveportfolio in all areas of club and hotel management and has been responsible for pre-opening and operations management at a number ofhighly acclaimed facilities.

In addition, David’s experience as a General Manager includes operating upscale residential golf clubs,semi-private clubs, public access facilities and hotel resorts inNew South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.

Troon Golf Australia, Asia & Pacific Senior Vice President and Managing Director Ryan Wallssaid the appointment of David Hogben as the Director of Operations was a great reflection on the future of Troon Golf.

“David’s experience and knowledge base will add to the strength of our well established team of senior managers and will provide a great conduit of knowledge to each Troon facility.”

“With his intimate knowledge of the day to operations of Golf Clubs, combined with over 5 years experience working within the Troon team, David will add significant value to Troon properties and will provide guidance on the day to day operations of the company’s projects within Australia” he said.

David is based in Troon’s new office located in Newstead, Brisbane. Although David’s role specifically focuses on Australia, this rapidly expanding Troon division now oversees operations at nearly 20 properties located in Australia, China and South Korea.
