Announcement posted by Infinity PR 21 Sep 2010

Want to get fashion advice for a glam night out? Want to countdown to all your special events and get your friends to rate your fashion choices for dressing to impress?

Your iPhone can now keep up with your fashionista style with the new iFrockUp App, launched today. The iFrockUp App, designed by innovative Brisbane-based publisher Direct Digital, is the first Application of its kind in the world. It is the first fashion App to link the iPhone, Facebook and Twitter in real time for fashion ratings.

The app is designed for special events in Australia such as balls, parties, formals and more.

From today, users can access the App as a free download from the App Store.

Fashionistas can countdown to multiple events and photograph their favourite dresses, hairstyles, shoes and bling and write notes on prices and styles plus create shortlists. You can also ‘top secret’ anything you don’t want friends to see or share.

Users can then get their friends to rate it on Facebook or Twitter to help rank the winning outfit for your big event. Your friends will love to ‘rate it or hate it’ on popular social networking sites Facebook or Twitter. All votes come back to the App to let you know just what your perfect outfits have scored!

Marzie Mackinney, from iFrockUp, says the fun App will be popular with fashion diehards everywhere.

“This fun new App is perfect for any busy socialite who wants to keep notes on what they are wearing to each event. It connects up to your Facebook or Twitter account so you can get instant ratings from friends on your styles,” she said.

“We know fashion lovers are passionate, so the App is perfect because everytime you go shopping, it is on the go with you, and right at your fingertips. Even if you go shopping without your network of ‘yay or naysayyers’, you can still get their opinion through iFrockUp.

“This new App will undoubtedly help you look your best for all your big events.”

Direct Digital owner, Mandy Stevens, says “The app has three key ingredients which are likely to send it viral. It is fun; it is designed to organically spread through Facebook and Twitter, and it’s free to download’. We are very excited to sit back and watch what happens now.”

Marzie said that with the formal season approaching and big events such as Melbourne Cup and loads of corporate and Christmas parties – the App is expected to attract thousands of downloads this season.
