Macquarie to take a significant minority stake in Nintex Group

Announcement posted by Nintex Group 07 Oct 2010

Nintex Group Pty Ltd (“Nintex”) advises that Macquarie Capital Group Limited (“Macquarie”) has agreed to acquire a significant minority interest in Nintex. Nintex, a global provider of workflow management and collaboration products which extend Microsoft’s SharePoint technology, is head-quartered in Victoria and is the leading provider of SharePoint implementation solutions in Australia through its services arm, OBS. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Glen Butler, a Division Director at Macquarie, will join the Nintex Board. He said, “Macquarie is pleased to be a significant investor in Nintex Group. Brian Cook and Brett Campbell, the founders of Nintex, have built a solid business over the last 10 years and are supported by a highly experienced leadership team and a strong base of software professionals and SharePoint specialists.”

“Nintex is an innovative business operating in a high growth market. With an increasing number of knowledge workers, workflow management and collaboration is a major focus of many organisations. Microsoft SharePoint offers a powerful platform to this end, and Nintex, with its user-friendly product tools, makes workflow management and reporting accessible to all knowledge workers. SharePoint has experienced high double digit growth in the last few years, and we believe Nintex is well positioned to take advantage of future growth in SharePoint with its products and services.”

Brian Cook, Chief Executive Officer of Nintex, welcomes Macquarie’s investment and believes Macquarie can add value to the business.

“We welcome Macquarie as an investor in Nintex. Macquarie brings to the table significant expertise in investing in and advising technology companies such as ours. We look forward to working closely with them to help us in making strategic decisions to take Nintex to new levels of growth.”
