Powerful projectors aimed at education and the enterprise

Sydney, Australia, October 7, 2010 – ViewSonic, global technology provider and renowned worldwide leader of visual display products today announced the new 7 Series range of 3D-ready projectors which include innovative, interactive whiteboard capabilities. With a multitude of user-friendly features and a convenient set up facility, the ViewSonic 7 Series range offers valuable inclusions to any interactive classroom or commercial environment.

PJD7383i
Negating the need for costly interactive whiteboards, the PJD7383i features exclusive ViewSonic iProjector technology, enabling users to improvise an interactive whiteboard at a click away. Users are able to write directly onto the projected image with the included PointBlank Pen and without the need for alignment or calibration. Additionally for the education sector, the PJD7383i includes bundled ViewDraw software to assist this innovation, with seamless integration of the hardware and curriculum software for a rapid return on investment.

The PJD7383i includes enhanced connectivity with built-in RJ45 network control to easily connect a computer and add a visual source for dynamic meetings and presentations and with its amazingly small throw ratio, the PJD7383i projects a large 80 inch image from just one metre away. Also fitted with Digital Keystone Correction which instantly squares images to correct proportion, 1024 x 768 resolution and 3000 lumens, the PJD7383i delivers all-digital clarity and outstanding quality imagery virtually any setting.

PJD7382
The PJD7382 also offers an extreme short throw ratio producing large, crisp images on a screen size of 80 inches from a distance of only one metre, ultimately saving space by allowing users to place the projector at the front of the table. Compact in design, the PJD7382 weighs only 3.5 kilograms and is packed with features including a 3,000 lumens and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, multiple preset presentation modes, an increased 40 degree digital vertical, keystone correction and digital zoom.

With its short throw projection, the ViewSonic 7 Series projectors are very teacher-friendly, putting an end to teachers being blinded by the bright lamp light. A microphone input is also included and every projector in the ViewSonic 7 Series range is 3D-ready to help future-proof the investment.

The ViewSonic 7 Series range of projectors feature advanced Crestron network control using the local area network (LAN), enabling a central IT department to monitor the status of the devices at all times. This takes the responsibility for maintenance and management away from the user – a teacher or trainer in the classroom or an executive in the boardroom or meeting room, reducing the total cost of ownership.

Equipped with a USB wireless dongle with a WiFi range of up to 328 feet and a driverless and auto display USB presentation functionality, allows the user to run a presentation without connecting to a PC. All ViewSonic 7 Series projectors also feature USB and LAN display, providing the flexibility to choose how to send content to the device, either via USB or LAN, rather than having to use a video cable.

The ViewSonic PJD7382 projector is now available in Australia. RRP AU$1,999 inc GST.

The ViewSonic PJD7383i projector will be available in Australia from October 2010. RRP AU$2,599 inc GST.
