RAD Offers $5,000 to First Person to Solve Online Brain Teaser

Announcement posted by RAD Data Communications 04 May 2005

Contest to Run until End of October
RAD Data Communications has announced that it will award $5,000 to the first person to correctly solve the Challenging Brain Teaser now posted on its corporate Web site.
RAD periodically posts three separate such Brain Teasers. One is rated easy, a second is designed on an intermediate level and the third is admittedly challenging. The questions, which are formulated in consultation with prominent mathematicians and computer scientists at leading universities, test the mind's powers of concentration, analysis and logic.
The latest Challenging Brain Teaser requires participants to submit a winning strategy for two roulette players in a casino who are bound by certain specific conditions. RAD will award a $5,000 prize to the first person to submit a successful strategy to win in 5 out of every 6 rounds of roulette or more. Additional prizes of $1,000, $500 and $100 will be presented to the first to devise winning strategies for four out of five, three out of four, or two out of three rounds.
The Brain Teaser and contest rules can be accessed by clicking on the Brain Teaser logo on RADs home page at www.rad.com. Winning contestants must agree to have their name, country and solution published on RAD's web site to be eligible to receive a prize.
The competition, which will continue until October 31, is not open to employees of RAD Data Communications or members of their families.
