The series, which is set on a remote Territory station, follows the Jones family – husband and wife Milton and Cristina and four-year-old son Milton – as they live their lives in the outback, a world away from the creature comforts of the city.
Escape Travel’s self-drive itineraries allow travellers to follow in the Joneses’ footsteps by leaving the city behind and exploring the rugged landscapes that make the Territory one of the world’s great wilderness areas.
Itineraries include:
• Explorers Way is priced from $1227* per person twin share and includes eight days’ four wheel drive hire, two nights’ accommodation in Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek and overnight stays in both Katherine and Batchelor. Entry to Alice Springs Desert Park and a Dreaming cruise on Katherine Gorge are also included
• Nature’s Way is priced from $617* per person twin share and includes two nights’ accommodation in Darwin, five days’ campervan hire, a Territory Wildlife Park entry pass, a one-and-a-half hour Yellow Water cruise in Kakadu and a Katherine Gorge cruise.
