Revolutionary new workout arrives from the US in Sydney’s eastern suburbs

Sydney November 15, 2010: Xtend Barre, the hot new workout which combines dance and Pilates, arrives at Sydney’s leading boutique Pilates studio, Emergy Pilates Lounge.

Xtend Barre was created in the US by dancer Andrea Rogers, to develop the long, lean muscles of a dancer’s body in a 55-minute workout which fuses dance, Pilates and sculpting exercises. Xtend Barre is an excellent complement to any fitness regime, and gives you a great cardio workout.

Owner of Emergy Pilates Lounge, Emma Jory, is the first instructor to teach Xtend Barre in Australia.

“I’m so excited to be the first in Australia to offer this great new exercise program. The results are amazing and I think Sydneysiders are going to love the energy of the classes,” Ms Jory said.

“As most of us know Pilates is great for creating a toned andstrongbody. Xtend Barre goes one step further andchisels it. It’s the perfect way to look your best for summer.”

Ms Jory has just debuted Xtend Barre classes at her boutique studio located in Rushcutters Bay.

Emergy Pilates Lounge was established by Ms Jory in 2008, and offers fun and invigorating Pilates classes for all ages, level of fitness and body types.

As well as being Xtend Barre certified, Ms Jory is a STOTT Pilates-certified instructor and runs various types of classes in her studio from Reformer and mat classes, pre- and post-natal and mums, dads and bubs classes.

When founding Emergy Pilates Lounge, Ms Jory wanted to create a warm and friendly environment where people practicing Pilates in the Eastern Suburbs have all the support they need to achieve their goals.

“We have a very hands-on approach and ensure everyone is looked after very well. We cater for those with injuries and give modifications in our classes to ensure all our clients get the most of out their workout no matter their level,” she said.
